Installer Network

Our installer network brings together skilled professionals

who take pride in doing the job properly, following clear

standards and representing Home Flatpack professionally

on every booking.

Think you're up to the standard?

Who we're looking for

We’re looking for experienced, reliable furniture and product installers who take pride in their work and are comfortable working within a clear, standards-led process.

You’ll already need the practical skills and experience to complete the types of installation work you accept. We don’t teach installers how to build furniture.

What we do provide is standard Home Flatpack onboarding, standards and systems needed to make sure every booking is handled consistently and professionally.

Our installers work to two standards

The manufacturer’s instructions

Every product must be assembled correctly and in accordance with the relevant instruction manual.

The Home Flatpack Installer Standards

These cover how the wider booking is handled including preparation, communication, customer care, scope of works, photographs and evidence, final checks, customer walkthrough and sign-off.

This means that although our installers bring their own experience and skills, customers receive the same professional Home Flatpack standard whichever approved installer attends their booking.

Before receiving bookings

Successful applicants will be expected to complete our standard onboarding and installer training before doing any work through the Home Flatpack Installer Network.

How it works

How much do installers get paid?

Installer payments are based on the type and scope of each booking rather than an hourly rate. Before accepting a booking, you’ll be able to review the job details, location and agreed installer payment so you can decide whether the work is right for you.

How are bookings allocated?

Bookings are offered based on factors including location, availability, competence and previous performance. Reliability, quality of work, customer feedback and compliance with our Installer Standards all help determine future booking opportunities. Consistently high standards can lead to more suitable bookings being offered.

Will Home Flatpack provide me with full-time work?

No. The Home Flatpack Installer Network is designed to provide additional installation opportunities alongside your existing trade or business. It can be a useful sideline and an additional source of income, but booking volumes vary by location, season and customer demand and should not be relied upon as guaranteed or full-time work.

Can I choose which bookings I accept?

Yes. Suitable bookings are offered through The Bookings App. You can review the scope, location and installer payment before deciding whether to accept. You should only accept work that you have the experience, competence and availability to complete properly.

Do I have to accept every booking I’m offered?

No. There is no requirement to accept every booking. We would much rather an installer decline a job than accept work they cannot complete reliably or to the required standard.

How does payment work?

Home Flatpack operates on a self-billing basis.  You do not need to submit an invoice for every completed booking.  Complete the work to the required standard, complete the booking record and submit all required evidence. Once the booking has passed our quality review, we take care of the payment process.

Complete the job. Complete the record.  We’ll handle the payment.

When is a booking ready for payment?

Payment follows successful completion of the booking. Once the work has been completed to the required standard, all required photographs, evidence and booking information have been submitted, and the booking has passed our quality review, it becomes eligible for payment.  Approved Installers operate on 10-day payment terms.  Elite Installers operate on 5-day payment terms.

Can I progress within the network?

Yes. Installers who consistently demonstrate reliability, quality workmanship, professional customer care and compliance with our standards can progress from Approved Installer to Elite Installer.

Elite status recognises consistently strong performance and includes faster payment terms, with performance bonus opportunities also available for installers who regularly meet the required standards.

Do you provide training?

We provide onboarding covering Home Flatpack’s systems, Installer Standards, The Bookings App, evidence requirements and booking processes. We do not teach installers the underlying trade skills. Applicants must already be competent and experienced in the types of installation work they choose to accept.

What do I need to join?

You’ll need relevant assembly or installation experience, suitable tools and transport, a smartphone with internet access, eligibility to work in the UK and the required level of Public Liability Insurance. You’ll also need to be comfortable working to our Installer Standards, following the agreed scope of each booking and completing the required quality and evidence process.

What happens if something goes wrong on a booking?

We understand that not every installation goes perfectly. What matters is how issues are handled. Installers are expected to communicate promptly, follow the correct reporting process and work with the planning team to find the right solution rather than leaving problems unresolved.

Ready to apply?

Joining the network starts with a short application.

We'll ask about your experience, the work you undertake and the areas you cover.
