Running a business has taught me that some of the best ideas start with a sentence that sounds perfectly reasonable at the time.
This was one of them.
During 2026, I’m taking on 12 half marathons in 12 different countries, with the challenge raising money for CALM along the way.
It’s a personal challenge, but it also felt right to include it here because Home Flatpack has always been more than just the installations themselves. Behind the website, planners, installers and processes, there are real people and occasionally one of them decides that running 21.1 kilometres once simply isn’t enough.
The challenge has already taken me to very different places, different courses and very different versions of “why did I sign up for this?”
Some races are about the time on the clock. Others are about getting round, taking in somewhere new and remembering why the challenge started in the first place.
So alongside the installations, customer stories and behind-the-scenes updates on this site, there’ll occasionally be something a little more personal too.
Because while Home Flatpack is about building things for other people, 2026 is also proving to be a year of building something myself.
