This Plum Climbing Cube Wooden Playcentre booking needed a little more planning than most.
When the customer ordered the climbing frame, they explained that their autistic child already knew his new play equipment was coming and would be eagerly waiting for it.
We therefore planned our installers to attend the day after delivery, avoiding an unnecessary wait once all those rather exciting boxes had arrived in the garden. The timing worked perfectly.
The weather, however, had other ideas. On the day of the build it absolutely poured with rain, but because our installers had already been briefed about the family and the importance of completing the installation as planned, they persevered; helped considerably by a very thoughtful supply of refreshments and towels from the customer!
And there was certainly plenty to assemble. Plum describes the wooden Climbing Cube as a playcentre designed for climbing, swinging and sliding, with features including an 8ft wave slide, climbing rock wall, cargo scramble net, monkey bars, trapeze bars and a den area and is designed to give children several different ways to play and explore outdoors.
Despite the downpour, our team completed the climbing frame assembly that same day, meaning the customer’s son didn’t have to watch his new playcentre sitting unfinished outside.
Afterwards, the customer told us they “could not fault any part of the service” and described Home Flatpack as “such a thoughtful company.” For us, that booking was a good reminder that great installation service isn’t always just about knowing how to build a climbing frame; sometimes it’s about understanding why when you build it matters just as much.
