Every now and then, Steve, Home Flatpack’s owner, swaps the planning desk for the tool kit and gets back to where the business started: building furniture in customers’ homes.
This project was certainly enough to keep him busy.
The customer had chosen a full ARTI bedroom suite from Arthauss, with multiple pieces of matching furniture to assemble and bring together as one complete room.
Rather than assembling a single wardrobe or chest of drawers, projects like this are about the finished space. Each piece needs to be carefully assembled, positioned and checked so that everything works together as intended.
There’s also something particularly satisfying about watching an almost empty room gradually become a finished bedroom over the course of an installation.
And for Steve, getting back on the tools occasionally is important too. It keeps him connected with the practical side of the service and the experience our installers and customers have on the day.
One bedroom. A lot of boxes. And one very satisfying transformation.
